Candidates are required to present the Examination’s notification letter, his/her NRIC/student pass, the Examination’s music scores and instrument(s) (unless otherwise stated) when reporting.
Provision of instruments
Only Guzheng (D Key and G Key), Yangqin (402 model), Double Bass (1/2 and 3/4 size) and Percussion instruments will be provided. Accessories (e.g. mallets, bows) are not provided. All other instruments are to be candidates’ own.
Exam song pieces

Candidates are required to present the original copies of scores when reporting for the Examinations. You may view details on usage of scores during the Examinations here, or view the full list of retailers here.
For candidates residing overseas
Candidates residing overseas will be assessed of their performances through video submissions. Videos have to be submitted from 27 October 2023 to 13 November 2023. Details on the video recording and submission will be released at a later date.
The duration for each grading level varies, from approximately 10 minutes (Grade 1 Examination) to 30 minutes (Examination for Certificate in Professional Performance).
Practice duration before Examinations
Candidates will be given approximately 15 – 30 minutes for tuning of instruments before the Examinations.
Rearrangement of Examination date
The Examination date can only be re-arranged in cases of hospitalization. Candidates will have to submit letters from the doctors or hospitals together with such requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The alternate Examination date will be arranged by The TENG Company, and no further requests will be accepted.
